How each of these actually works
The cards above are the summary. Here's what the work looks like day to day.
Most of our clients run somewhere between 10 and 100 users, and that size shapes everything we do. There's enough going on that a bad week costs real money, but not enough to justify someone in-house full time.
IT helpdesk and technical support
Most of the work is unglamorous. Laptops that won't reconnect after an update, printers that dropped off the network, a new hire who needs accounts and a mailbox working before their first meeting.
What we watch is whether the small stuff closes the same day without anyone having to chase us. Hard problems are easier to get right, honestly, because they get attention. It's the twenty-minute tickets that pile up and teach people to stop reporting things.
We work remote-first because it's quicker for everyone. Most tickets never need a drive. When something does need hands on it, someone comes out.
That matters more here than in most places. A provider working from the other side of the Puget Sound is quoting you ferry schedules and bridge traffic, whether they mention it or not. It's worth asking any provider about, and we wrote up the rest of that list.
Cybersecurity and compliance
Security for a 25-person business comes down to a fairly short list: multi-factor authentication with no exceptions, email filtering, endpoint detection, patching that actually happens, and staff who've been shown what a convincing phishing message looks like lately. None of it is exotic. Getting all of it in place and keeping it there is the harder part.
Medical, dental and legal offices have HIPAA or professional-conduct duties layered on top of that. We build around whatever you're actually obligated to protect, starting with the control that prevents the most incidents.
Network support, Wi-Fi and connectivity
Networks don't usually fail outright. They degrade, people work around them, and nothing gets reported until it's been costing time for months.
Connectivity out here has a ceiling too. Business fiber is straightforward in the Silverdale and Gig Harbor corridors, and gets harder toward Belfair or up the Hood Canal side, where what's available at the street might send back only a small fraction of its download speed. Upload is what video calls, cloud backups and hosted phones all lean on, so that asymmetry shows up quickly.
We standardize on UniFi: switching, wireless and gateways. Running the same platform across our clients means there's one controller to check, firmware that behaves the way we expect, and enough remote visibility to answer "the Wi-Fi is slow in the back office" without driving out there first.
When there's no more bandwidth to buy, we design around it instead: prioritizing real-time traffic, moving backups off the working day, adding a second connection so a failed line doesn't close the office. More on the symptoms in four signs your network is holding you back.
Microsoft 365 and cloud management
Nearly every business we take on is already on Microsoft 365, usually paying for licenses nobody uses while missing things they already own. So we start with a licensing review, which often covers a decent chunk of the engagement on its own.
After that it's the configuration that tends to get skipped: Conditional Access policies that match how people actually work, Intune handling devices instead of a spreadsheet, retention and legal hold set deliberately, and an offboarding process written down so a departing employee's mailbox and files get handled the same way every time.

Cameras, access control and physical security
Cameras are a network job now. The cameras, the recorder and the door controllers all sit on your switch drawing PoE and pushing video, and a system specced without looking at the network is how you end up with cameras competing against your staff for the same connection.
We survey the site first, and most of that conversation ends up being about retention. How many days of footage you need, and at what resolution, drives the storage. Storage drives the budget.
We work in UniFi Protect for cameras and UniFi Access for doors, so badge events and footage line up on one timeline instead of two systems nobody wants to cross-reference. It's the same gear as the switching, which keeps the whole site on one controller.
IT consulting and vCIO planning
At this size there's usually nobody whose job is looking twelve months ahead. Hardware ages quietly, licenses renew on autopilot, and decisions get made under time pressure by whoever happens to be closest.
A vCIO engagement is mostly about timing. Each quarter we go through what's aging, what's coming and what it'll cost, so refreshes land in a budget rather than an emergency. Vendor evaluation, disaster recovery planning and compliance gap analysis sit in the same conversation. We'll identify the gaps and design the technical response; your attorney handles the legal reading.
